Hardness Testing

Overview

Inspectahire offers standard Hardness Testing to NACE MR-01-75 (ISO 15156) using industry-standard testing machines including Krautkramer MIC10-DL. This is a handheld hardness tester, so it can be taken anywhere. This equipment also has small arrow probes that enable our technicians to make measurements on positions difficult to access.

The hardness test is typically performed by pressing a specifically dimensioned and loaded object (indenter) into the surface of the material you are testing.

  • On-Site Technicians, available
  • Availability 24/7
  • Instant results
  • Computerised reports

This technology can be used:

  • On heavy, fixed components
  • In difficult-to-access locations
  • On series parts during production
  • For material identification
  • On a range of materials including solid, coarse-grained objects, forged parts with homogeneous surface structures and cast items

Equipment for the solution

  • equotip hardness tester

    Equotip 3 Portable Hardness Tester

Equotip uses a proven, dynamic testing principle. An impact body with a hard metal test tip is propelled by spring force against the surface of the test piece.
