Positive Material Identification (PMI) is an NDT service provided by Inspectahire across the UK.

We are equipped with the latest PMI technologies, our reliable equipment offers easy and completely non-destructive testing for every metal component. For a wide range of industries, a PMI analyser is greatly important in order to avoid a number of detrimental results. These range from premature corrosion to explosions, all of which in the past have been traced to the use of the wrong metals.

PMI Analysers compliment companies existing standards, such as API RP 571 certification and compliance, enabling clients to ensure the completions of projects with unparalleled accuracy and efficiency.

We currently use X-ray Fluorescence for our Material Identification services Materials mix-up can happen at any stage of a process from the alloy fabricators to installation of parts at a refinery, chemical plant, petrochemical plant etc and should develop a material verification program to minimize this risk.

Whether the need is safety, sorting out scrap material or even quality control, materials testing to provide verification of metal alloy grade and composition is crucial to the success of many businesses. On Site Technicians can provide a full analysis of both Stainless and Carbon and the full range of exotic materials.
