CorDEX ToughPIX digital camera
The ToughPIX 2300XP series of explosion-proof digital cameras has been designed to aid professionals in the petrochemical, gas, mining and marine industries to capture still images and short movies in hazardous (explosive) areas.
The ToughPIX 2300XP series has a range of certifications across the different models including ATEX, CSA and South African IS, covering Zone 1IIC T4, I M2/Ex d I Mb and Class I Div.1 B, C and D hazardous (explosive) areas.
Developed by North Yorkshire-based CorDEX Instruments, the camera is fitted with a high intensity strobe flash that allows it to capture high quality still images, up to 10 megapixels, in zero light and unstable environments.
Still images and AVI format movies can be reviewed in the field on the camera-mounted armoured LCD screen, and then download to a PC or laptop via a high-speed USB connection once in a safe area.
Featuring a tough IP54 design, the camera enables documentation of equipment and processes within potentially explosive areas, quickly and easily with large, easy access controls allowing operation when wearing protective clothing.
The camera has many safety benefits, and can also save operators time and money as less site preparation is required.
