CorDEX LaserMETER 3000XP
Developed by CorDEX Instruments, the LaserMETER 3000XP is an explosion-proof hand-held laser distance meter which is believed to be the first of its kind in the world. ATEX and IECEx certified for use within Zone 1 IIC T4 hazardous (explosive) areas, the LaserMETER is capable of measuring distances of 30m with a typical accuracy of 3mm.
Designed and developed from end-user feedback, the distance measurement tool’s robust IP65 design incorporates shock-resistant, anti-static over mould with interchangeable battery pack and backlit LCD display. It comes packed with features such as Pythagoras, and area and volume calculations.
Encased in aluminium and with a rugged industrial-grade construction, the LaserMETER has been built to last and can withstand harsh environments and accidental falls or knocks. Simple to use operating functions cater for workers in hazardous locations wearing protective kit and gloves – offering speedy and accurate distance, volume and area measurement within explosive areas.
The distance meter is an ideal device for offshore personnel working on high-risk installations who currently have to obtain special ‘hot work permits’ to use standard electronic measuring devices. The possibilities for use offshore are endless and the meter is particularly useful when measuring pipes or equipment which are difficult to reach.
